“One of the friendliest gyms I’ve been too! Great staff with a awesome gym dog, Pepper! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area!”

Find your way in

Most people start with one of the first two and add from there.

Most popular

Group Training

An hour with a coach who watches every rep: warm-up, skill work, the day’s workout, cooldown. The weight and the movements are set to what you can do today, week one or year six.

Personal Training

Thirty or sixty minutes, one to three times a week, built around your goals and whatever currently hurts. Group classes are included, and most people run six to eight weeks then reassess.

Getting started

Three steps, no guesswork

  1. Meet a coach

A free twenty-minute sit-down with David. Street clothes, no workout. You talk through your goals and anything that hurts.

  2. Pick your class

Choose a real time slot off this week’s schedule and join in. Same coaches, same room, scaled to you.

  3. Build momentum

Keep showing up, and use the monthly one-on-one session included with new memberships to keep it on track.

Owner & Head Coach

David J Walker

David founded Lodestar Fitness in November 2018 after nine years as a U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, a walk-on spot on Florida State University's 1996 national-championship football team, and a psychology degree that still shapes how he coaches today.

He holds a Certified Level 2 Coach credential and a Masters Coaching credential, and previously worked as a high school strength & conditioning coach.

He still coaches classes every week: this is a gym he built to run, not one he built to step away from.
